Aside from its fascinating culture and Caribbean hospitality, Cuba has long been synonymous with some of the finest fly-fishing and diving in the world. At Avalon we have aspired for the last 14 years of operation to bring together the most exclusive areas of the country combined with a high level of service in what are logistically complex environments. We offer a wide variety of options to accommodate fly fishermen, divers, and their spouses from La Tortuga, Halcon, La Reina and Caballones in Jardines de la Reina, to Hotel Rancho and Perola on Isla de Juventud. We are also excited to announce the addition of a new land based operation and a new live aboard on Cayo Largo. Whether sight casting to giant tarpon or diving with sharks Avalon allows you to experience the essence of Cuba in the height of comfort.

Jardines de la Reina , Cayo Largo and Isla de la Juventud are major island chains off Cuba's Southeastern Coast, that run east to west in the Caribbean Ocean; very similar to the Florida Keys. Avalon Outdoor Company has an agreement with the Cuban Government which gives them exclusive rights to all the flats fishing in these areas. A vast offshore wilderness, where you will never see another angler most days, other than people in your own group. Anglers are fishing in a huge, exclusive and most importantly protected area, as they are all inside Marine Parks. Many of the good flats are fished only once every couple of weeks or even less, and there are places that have still never been fished by sport fishermen. With this much water to fish, the Cuban guides are able to spread the fishing time around so it is easier for the fisherman to catch, in comparison with more heavily fished destinations.

Cuba is offering the best Tarpon fishing of the world, one of the best for Permit and without any doubt the best Bonefish on earth in size and numbers. It's also very common to catch Snooks, Jack Crevalles, Snappers, Barracudas and other species.
